  1. Thank you so much. I needed that!

I came across Christine’s story on Fade to Black and was moved by her story. I was compelled to look her up and it lead me here. I was just finishing up the course when I closed my eyes and ended up in that really relaxed place, in my mind, where you’re right about to fall asleep. I stayed there for a bit and then came to. I feel a bit tingly and in good spirits. Thanks again!

  2. 5

I have already been meditating, but the tips on breathing and muscle relaxation are very helpful. I’m going to work at relaxing my muscles daily.

  3. Great course!

I love how clearly the Basics of Meditation course creates a practical pathway to success and encouragement to keep trying. Meditation has truly been a lifeboat at some very pivotal times in my life and is a doorway for me beyond the mesmerizing nature of our five physical senses. The course addresses that point so well in the section on removing distractions.

I’m also grateful for the emphasis on relaxation. I didn’t realize that there is room for huge improvement when it comes to really relaxing and beginning to notice the more subtle stresses in areas of my body. And, of course, it doesn’t escape my notice that this kind of physical stress and tension runs completely counter to the body’s well being and youthing!

  4. The Basics of Meditation

I’m very impressed with the quality of writing and communicating in the course instructions…clear, concise and easy to assimilate.
It is validating to me to notice that I have a quiet mind and am breathing diaphragmatically at this point, though that was not always the case. I’m interested in experimenting with the muscle tensing and relaxing. Recently I’ve been unintentionally stretching like a cat does when it stiffens and then vibrates or shakes. Been wondering what’s going on there energetically.
I look forward to consciously meditating daily. I already know that it feels good and I’m curious as to what it may help unravel. For me right now it feels like it’s not so much about coping as it is about pursuing my desire to experience myself without the conditioning I’ve had. What will it feel like to have my own thoughts, my own feelings, my own inclinations?

  5. The basics of meditation

The steps to relaxing the mind and body are explained in great detail for anyone to follow along.
I have been meditating for a year and a half but have not tried diaphragmatic breathing as yet and I look forward to it.
